The Dennis R. Neill Equality Center offers several welcoming and historic spaces available to rent for meetings, celebrations, and community events. One of our largest and most distinctive venues is the Bruce Goff Event Center, named in honor of renowned Oklahoma architect Bruce Goff (1904-1982).
Goff, a gay man and a visionary in American modernist architecture, was known for bold, unconventional designs, an embrace of individuality, and a commitment to authenticity and creativity. Naming this space after him reflects both his architectural legacy and the importance of recognizing 2SLGBTQ+ figures whose contributions have helped shape Oklahoma’s cultural history.
A unique feature of the space is the textured south wall, which reflects Goff’s well-known love for experimental materials and richly textured architectural surfaces, a hallmark of his design philosophy that celebrated creativity over convention.
