Counseling Services

The Dennis R. Neill Equality Center now offers in-house counseling services for youth and adults through partnerships with Tulsa CARES and Golden Vale, LLC. These services help expand access to affirming mental health support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and our broader Tulsa community at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center.

Tulsa CARES

Low-barrier, no-cost therapy sessions are available at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center. These sessions are designed to provide accessible, affirming mental health support for LGBTQ+ individuals and community members seeking support with identity, trauma, stress, or personal growth.

In-Person Drop-In Sessions are Fridays from 9AM–5PM. Virtual Sessions are available on Mondays by appointment.

Golden Vale Counseling

Matthew Gibbons provides thoughtful, affirming therapy for members of the LGBTQIA+ community and cisgender women on their journeys of healing, self-discovery, and personal growth. Grounded in respect and compassion, Matthew creates a safe, supportive space where clients can explore life’s challenges, build resilience, and embrace authenticity.

Using evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gestalt Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), Matthew works collaboratively with clients to help them reconnect with their strengths and move toward their full potential.

OSU-Tulsa Counseling Services

The Oklahoma State Tulsa Counseling Center is an LGBTQ+ affirming center located in Main Hall of OSU Tulsa. You do not have to be affiliated with OSU to benefit from these services! Our center offers clients from OKEQ 5 sessions free and each session following that is only 5 dollars. Each member of our counseling team receives additional training and supervision in LGBTQ+ issues and is excited to work with clients from OKEQ.
